Vince, Jake, Jon, Brockers, Nick, Tav, and Harley
Got to the cave ahead of the others so that I could get some photos in Can of Worms now that the bang debris has been cleared. Looks interesting. Returned to the surface to await the arrival of the team.
Once all were assembled, Jon and Brockers went off to Can of Worms to get the digging underway. Nick, Tav, and Harley positioned themselves between the ledge and the bottom of the pot, with me and Jake on the surface. First job of the day was to clear the spoil accumulated and still in the cave after last weekends activity. A total of 37 bags had been filled now it was time to haul them out and empty them, there were a lot of rocks too. It was another warm day. All done, ready for the next lot!
Another 40 or so bags were filled, hauled, and emptied plus an undetermined quantity of rocks added to the spoil heap wall. The majority of the spoil came from Can of Worms and a lesser number from the bottom of the pot.
At the close of the session, it seems that both dig locations need some chemical persuasion – some large blocks of rock to deal with. I’ll need to give the matter some consideration as my diary is quite full for the next week. I will ponder a while!
